What can you do to help solve this problem?
Syria is facing issues that feel huge and overwhelming and at times can seem unsolvable. However, there are ways that we can contribute to help fix this problem.

There are many organizations focusing on helping the Syrian refugees and making the situation better.

Here are just a few of the many organizations with focuses on helping Syria and the refugees.
The United Nations Refugee Agency helps provide support for host countries giving assistance to Syrian refugees.
The International Organization for Migration is a government organization. It provides services and support to governments and migrants.
Unicef Canada, or the United Nations Children's Fund, is a humanitarian group focusing on saving children's lives around the world. They currently operate in 192 countries including Syria.
Oxfam Canada is an organization with the mission to build lasting solutions to poverty and injustice. Their focus is improving the lives and promoting the rights of women and girls.
The World Food Programme is a branch of the United Nations and focuses on giving nutritious meals to hungry children and families.
Amnesty International focuses on promoting human rights. They have worked for over fifty years and are in 150 countries.
Doctors Without Borders, or Médecins Sans Frontières, is an organization that focuses on medical relief provided to people affected by armed conflicts, disasters, disease epidemics and other emergencies. In Syria they currently support over 100 medical facilities.
Migrant Offshore Aid focuses on saving lives at sea and providing professional search and rescue.
The Canadian Red Cross have the mission of improving the lives of vulnerable people.
World Vision is an excellent organization that is working in Syria as well as neighbouring countries such as Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq. In 2015 they reached over one million people affected by the Syria crisis.
